Jumping on the #Write52 bandwagon

OK, so a good friend of mine - Ed Callow - boldly stated on Twitter recently that he was planning to write a new blog post for his website every single week for a year. Yep, you read that right: Every. Single. Week. As I said, bold. Especially in this day and age when we're all ridiculously keen to live in the fast lane. But - for some reason - what Ed was saying struck a chord.

I write for a living. Granted, I'm reproducing someone else's copy in another language, so it's not my own content, but I still write every single day. And what's the best way to hone your writing technique? Write more. So on that note, here's my announcement on a rather dull Saturday afternoon in July: I'm joining the #Write52 movement too.

You may have to cut me some slack if I fall behind every now and then - I'm a busy working mum after all - but by having other people out there on the world wide web who are relying on all us #Write52ers to post every week, I'm going to give it a damn good go. And while my posts may jump off on a tangent at times (most likely netball-related, knowing me), these 52 blog posts are going to look at how we're #DitchingThePlastic as a family - or trying to at least. I'll be sharing the swaps we've made and what we're looking at next. If anyone has anything they'd like to share while we're on this mission, please get in touch!
