May 2019 is approaching alarmingly quickly – and this not only signals Izzy's second birthday, but it also means it will be time to head to Sheffield for the ITI's biannual conference. I, understandably, missed the last edition in Cardiff as Izzy was just 10 days old, so I'm looking forward to meeting friends and colleagues at this year's event. While my proposal for a talk on inspiring future linguists was unsuccessful, the programme looks great so far and I'm pretty sure I'll be spoiled for choice. I've also got my fingers crossed there will be an opportunity to join the singing translators again!
