I am delighted to share the news that I have been successfully accepted as a Qualified Member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting. I had a bit of a nervous wait to find out the result after submitting my assessment translation and commentary, but the happy result arrived in my inbox at the beginning of this week. I thoroughly enjoyed the translation - it was tricky in places and certainly got my brain whirring, but it is hugely rewarding to know that my work is in line with the highest professional standards.
I've not yet worked out where to display my certificate, but in the meantime, it's taken pride of place next to my office orchid.
