When I first took the plunge as a freelance translator, I made the decision to buy Trados Studio 2014 – a computer-assisted translation (CAT) tool designed to increase productivity, efficiency and consistency, and often required for agency work. It took me a while to get to grips with it, but now I consider myself to be a pretty proficient user.
However, I've just taken the next step and upgraded to Trados Studio 2015, which certainly promises great things, not least a free upgrade to Trados Studio 2017 when it is released next year. Here's hoping I get my head around 2015 before 2017 is released!
