Standing Out branches out again!

The Standing Out Facebook page is going from strength to strength, with membership growing on a daily basis. It's really exciting to be part of such an encouraging group of like-minded translators, and it really spurs me on to be the best version of me I can be.

To complement the new Standing Out Exchange page, there is now a Standing Out Travel page. The aim is for everyone to announce their travel plans on this page, and see if any other Standing Outers (or SOers) are in the same vicinity, fancy a coffee or can offer any pearls of wisdom about where to go, what to do, where to eat (and where not to eat!).

While I have no upcoming travel plans, I'm sure I'll make the most of the page when I do know where my passport will lead me next. In the meantime, I've put up my own little advert for our corner of the East Midlands:

"Hello fellow SO explorers!I temporarily live in ‪Drayton‬, home to ‪Leicestershire‬'s smallest church (seats 21, including the vicar!) but will be moving to nearby ‪Corby‬ in‪ Northamptonshire‬ in December. Drop me a line if anyone is ever in the East Midlands area - I can recommend many places, including Rutland Water, in England's smallest county, ‪Rutland‬. Would love to meet fellow SOers in real life!"

With that in mind, if anyone is ever in this area, please get in touch, it would be lovely to meet you.
